Wednesday, 5/24/12 Where does the time go? Married life is wonderful, we are having fun :) Cleaned the studio a bit, and getting re-inspired with some new pottery shapes. We are hoping they have the pottery show again in December. I know it will be here before we know it. I'm planning on running the kiln this weekend. It's Tony's Birthday Weekend! Yay Happy Birthday Baby! And we get a 3 day weekend - can't wait Saturday, 12/18/10 So today is the last day of my 30's. Where did all the time go? Some days I'm ok with it, and some times I'm not liking the idea all. Oh well, I guess it's happening either way so I better get over it. We're trying to get our Christmas cards out. If you haven't recieved our thank you from the wedding, then I'm sure it's on teh way. Merry Christmas! Married Life is Great! Saturday, 9/11/10 Yay it's our Engageaversary, and also my Grandma's Bday and my Grandparents anniversary. We're closer than ever to the wedding and plans are coming along great. My mom is here visiting this week to help out with things. We are really psyched because we booked out Honeymoon in Hawaii. We start in Honolulu, Oahu and stay on Waikiki Beach and then move to the big Island and explore Coffee Country. KONA, HI. Can't wait! Saturday, 5/22/10 Finally the pool is perfect for weekend swimming! Yay! Wedding plans are coming along great. We have the color picked out, the bridesmaid dresses, my dress, the caterer, Dj, location. It's all coming together nicely. We still have much to do, but it's fun! Hope you're all having a blessed weekend! Wednesday, 12/8/09 The outside lights are up and Sunday we went to Jackie's Cookie Baking Party. It's starting to feel like Christmas. Now if work would just slow down! Saturday, 11/7/09 Strive to be an EAGLE! Saturday, 10/10/09 It's looking like our wedding is 1 week from yesterday. Tony and I got engaged on 9/11 and we're looking at 10/9/10 for the blessed day! I read something at Yoga class on one of Donna's prayer cards that I thought I would pass along as it really explained something to me: To Forgive is not to condone what has been done, but to say you will no longer carry the hurt and the pain with you for it. I think that is really a good way of putting it. Love you all Mary Saturday, 7/11/09 It's free Slurpees today at 7-11! It's from 7am - 11pm, and they are 7.11 oz slurpees. At Participating 7-11's. Happy 7-11! Hope you all had a good 4th of July! Monday, 6/16/09 " The years fly by so quickly, but the days seem to last forever", sometimes that's how it feels. Lately it's all moving quick - I guess that means I'm having fun. I hope you're all finding the "fun" in life. Sometimes we take it way to seriously. Well the Magic lost the NBA Championship and the Redwings lost the Stanley Cup ....all around a bummer year for sports finals. Looking forward to football though - GO Packers! I did a shoot last week for the National Science Foundation about a keyboard that this guy (in FL) developed for Carpel Tunnel. It turns out that some autistic kids and other people with disabilities have found it very helpful. If you'd like to check it out just google Orbitouch, or Keyless Keyboard. The story was about trying to get the word out to people - so now I've just told YOU. Pass it on if you think it could help. Love you all - Hope it's been a good year for you so far! Sunday, 5/10/09 Happy Mothers Day MOM! And Happy Mothers Day to all moms. I hope you had a great one full of love! Sunday, 4/12/09 Happy EASTER! I hope everyone is enjoying family, friends, and good food today. We're heading to Tony's cousins house - should be fun. Happy Birthday to Tommy on the 9th! Happy Birthday to TJ on the 7th! Happy Spring!!!! Saturday, 3/21/09 Yay - we are having the kiln wired today! "Remember that one thought of Negativity can ruin the whole batch of creation" Wednesday, 3/18/09 Happy St. Patty's - a day late! It's Chidrens Miracle Network time again. So - if you can't get a hold of me, then that's probably where I am. It's hard to believe that it's that time again! Monday, 3/9/09 I hope you all are having a good start to the year. March already is hard to believe. Here's a quote that I read and thought I'd share. "We cannot worry and believe at the same time - they cannot hold the same space, the same time, the same frequency." Saturday, 1/31/09 Here's something to talk about. I worked for TVGuide tonight. It was a Red Carpet event for a Pre-Super Bowl party. I got to meet/see Conan, Jay , Jimmy Falon, Jeff Goldblum, Hayden Panetierre, Patricia Arquette, and a bunch of other NBC actors - that guy from the office, guys from Chuck, Psych, Law and Order, Medium. I have to say it was a pretty cool event. They're going to be playing it on the TVGuide Channel on Monday, if you get a chance to check it out. It's the channel that actually scolls the TVGuide on the bottom 3rd, so it's not something that I know the time for. Yay Superbowl tomorrow - we're heading to Roy and Darcy's! Thursday, 1/1/09 Happy 2009 to Everyone! I hope this new year brings everyone luck, peace, love, and prosperity. Thursday, 12/18/08 "We get not older, but newer each day." Tuesday, 12/16/08 Happy Holidays! I love this season full of cookie baking, dinners, friends, lights, love, decorations, shopping. It's all good. It's moving fast - so remember ( I keep reminding myself) to make sure you don't take the joy our of things. I'm trying to find the good part of all of the Hullaballoo and there is a lot of good. Can't wait to see even more of you in Wisconsin - where the fun continues. Of course - I'll be missing my Favorite Fabulous Man. Thursday, 11/27/08 Happy Thanksgiving! I'm thankful for all of you! Thanks to my mom for coming down to help me clear some major clutter. We did a great clean out on my closets and it feels so nice. Thanks to my sis for helping make it all possible! I hope you all have a wonderful, warm and fun Thanksgiving. Wednesday, 11/5/08 Hopefully everyone voted yesterday. It's good to participate and be part of the process. I'm not asking who you voted for. I'm just happy if you voted. Today I'm also participating in the process - Jury Duty! Fingers crossed that I don't get picked. On the upside - the courthouse finally got wireless internet. Yay! Now I can at least entertain myself until the battery dies on my laptop. After last time I was called, I got smart and brought snacks, books, magazines, ipod, laptop. You name it! We started out with about 200 people and they've called about 100 already. Me - I'm waiting. Patiently waiting and surfing the web. Hope you're all having a good week. I posted a yummy recipe for Swedish Meatballs on the main meals recipe page. I give it 2 thumbs up! Holidays are on the way! Wednesday, 10/29/08 Although I keep thinking it's Thursday. Happy Halloween - A little early! We're heading to Joan and Lee's on Halloween for burgers, dogs, mojitos, and candy handing out. I've posted a simple pasta recipes on Recipes/ Main Meals. I saw Alan Alda make it on Martha Stewart a while back and it came to mind - so I googled it. You have to love he internet! Hope you get lots of treats! Love to All - Mary Sunday, 10/19/08 I'm heading to the mall with Joanie today. The Colts are playing the Packers, so Tony will be glued to the TV. Tony and I spent most of the day yesterday working on dog proofing the fence. Astro has had the urge to dig lately, and they've escaped at least 3 X in the last few weeks. I checked out The Secret Life of Bees on a free Sneak Preview last week. Thumbs up. I'm posting a review on the movie page. Happy Birthday to Daniel on 10/23 Sunday, 10/5/08 We've got a new dip on the Appetizer page in Recipes. Tony made this to take to Ben and Donna's and it was a huge hit. Give it a try - it's good. We also checked out Dark Knight on IMAX. I'll post a review on Movie reviews. The cruise was awesome. We spent last weekend on Carnival's Sensation sailing to Nassau Bahama and back. We had an awesome and relaxing time. I would highly recommend it. I'll post some pics soon. We ate, we drank, we watched the stars from the deck at night. We also spent a lot of time in the Casino. Wow was it great. I slept like a rock out there! Hope you're all having a great October. I'm off to check out the art show in Maitland, while Tony watches some football. Saturday, 9/13/08 HAPPY BIRTHDAY GREG! Saturday, 9/6/08 HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sis - MISSY! Hope you're having a great one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thursday, 9/4/08 If anyone is using my somedaytundra address, please change it to my mary@infinitebuzz.net address. Somedaytundra is down - indefinitely! Sunday, 8/31/08 Watch Out - it's hurricane season. Nothing like watching to see, who it's coming for this time. Those poor poor people in New Orlaeans. I watch the weather channel and yell at the TV, "GET OUT!" Prayers to all of them. Looks like Orlando is dry for a few more days. Tony and I spent last weekend in Minnesota at the wedding of Kelly Stracka and Tom Gerdes. We were welcomed by my friend's Sandy and Todd who put us up in their guest room. We had a really great trip. The wedding, and the bride, was beautiful! The ceremony was sweet and perfect, the bar was open, the food was awesome, and we even danced a few songs. We were lucky enough to fly out of the 5 day rain of tropical storm Fay to land in Sunny 80degree St.Paul Minnesota. We tooled around in our rented Volvo (sweet dark blue) and bought fabulous watches at The Mall of America. Sandy's kids are quite adorable and Sandy and Todd cooked us up an awesome fairwell meal that kept us full until we got home. The airplane back was slightly delayed - first the door wouldn't close right so they brought in a mechanic, then we got out on the runway and had to turn around. Some woman wanted to get off the plane, so they had to let her. Oh well - we got home late but we had all day Sunday to lounge around. The wedding was on Friday, so we flew in Thursday (rehearsal) and flew out on Saturday night (late). I did a reading in the wedding. I felt very honored to be asked. That Kelly is so sweet! I'll post some pics soon. OK OK I'm off to work on cleaning the closet. I don't know how many more weeks I can procrastinate! Happy Labor Day Weekend to you all! Wow - tomorrow is September already! Sunday, 8/17/08 Here's a little something I read today, "Dramas on all levels, can take your power very quickly and consume you, removing focus from truly is important and how you would really like to spend your life-force....just keeping blessings and thanking what is pushing all of your buttons dissolve it with good vibes until it is the size of a pea and then just step over it. Allow what is, just to be as far as others are concerned. Do not use all your life force trying to fix something. Instead place it in a higher powers hand and free yourself up. Time is precious for all of us right now so embrace it and treasure exactly what time represents, which is much more than energy or money" They are replaying one of my Groundbreakers episodes next Sunday 8/24. So if you missed the last one, then you've got a chance to watch it again. Thanks for the support. Love you All! Saturday, 8/16/08 I don't know if anyone is following the story on cnn.com but some guys claim to have found the body of bigfoot. No one is sure if it's true of not but it's fun to believe while it lasts. If it is true then it's pretty wild. I guess the legend must be based on something. Hopefully the DNA testing will be done soon. Tuesday, 8/12/08 My trip to Wisconsin was great. I had a great visit with the family and a fun time canoeing with my friends. I'll post some pics from it soon. I added a dip recipe to the appetizers if you've got a dish to bring somewhere. Hope everyone is having a good summer. It's hot hot hot here! Friday, 7/11/08 Whew made it through another week to the weekend. Yeah the glorious weekend. Although I plan to clean for a good portion of mine. Ok at least for a small portion. We're into the rainy summer though, so I'm sure that I'll be able to grab an hour or two. Setup your DVRs for Groundbreakers! HGTV Saturday July 19th, HGTV will be airing the second episode of Groundbreakers that I worked on. Sorry I forgot to post for the first one, but I won't miss the other 5 that are left. The credits go by fast, but the name is there. YEAH!!! Thanks for the support! Tony and I had an excellent weekend in Port St. Lucie for the 4th of July holiday. We enjoyed the Penny Arcade (gambling for gift cards on machines - it's a far cry from Vegas but it's fun), the flea market, a trip to the dog track (I won $27.50 on a $2 Quinella bet), and Yahtzee with his family. It was a fun time. No pics though. I didn't even bring a camera. Last night we checked out HANCOCK with Joan and Lee. That's the new Will Smith Superhero movie. I thought it wasn't bad but Tony thought it kind of sucked. It wasn't great, but if you've got nothing better to do - it's somewhat entertaining. Jason Bateman was excellent as usual. It made me miss Arrested Development. I'll post a full review on the movie page. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Wednesday, 7/9/08 Hope everyone had a good 4th of July! Saturday, 6/22/08 Happy Birthday Mark! Happy Anniversary Joan and Lee! The visit with the family was relaxing and fun. We mostly hung out in the pool, but we also went to Universal Studios on one day. My house becomes pretty cozy when you add 6 people to it. We certianly sucked down our share of snow-cones! I hope that you're all having a great weekend. I've posted a couple of movie reviews if anyone is heading to the theater! Tuesday, 6/2/08 Congratulations TJ on your Graduation! We checked out Iron Man this week. I'll post a review but I give it a thumbs up. My Mom, Sis, Tom, and the kids are heading my way on Thursday. It should be a nice long weekend of family fun. Hope you're all having a great week. Monday, 5/26/08 Happy Birthday to my Baby! Happy 3 day weekend to everyone else. Tony and I went to his Aunts in Port St. Lucie for a night and spent the rest of the weekend relaxing and getting some stuff done. Yahtzee anyone? Tuesday, 5/20/08 This weekend we'll be celebrating Tony's Memorial Day Birthday with some relaxation and fun. I'll update you soon on what we did. Things are starting to heat up down here. I had to do a day of Groundbreakers on Thursday and I nearly melted. We just finished shooting on our second episode and the first one should be airing soon. I'll definitely let you know when it's on. Tony and I are getting ready for the visit in a few weeks from my Mom, Sis, Bro-in-law, and the kiddies. I think we will be in the pool a lot. Tony has the grill tuned up and the new patio furniture put together. We had a wicked wind on Mothers Day that smashed my glass table to smithereens. Yowsa what a mess. All is well now, and the backyard is really looking great. Thanks Tony for helping make that happen. I've also posted a really killer Salad Dressing recipe on Recipebuzz, if you like a balsamic bite~! Saturday, 5/10/08 Happy Mother's day weekend to all of you moms out there. Especially to my mom! Thanks MOM!! A Happy first Mothers Day to Becky, who just gave birth to that cutie Helen Marie Wensel! Love Love Love Saturday, 5/3/08 "Love is the only HEALING POWER in the Universe, and only LOVE can bring Peace into our Lives" All of my tests are in and I'm totally cancer free. Thanks for all of the positive energy! Wednesday, 4/9/08 Happy Birthday Tommy Dreifuerst - Today ! Happy 18th Birthday TJ - Monday 4/7! We had a spectacular weekend at VIP Island last weekend. Wow - what an awesome place. Tony and I had the whole downstairs to ourselves. Ben, Donna, Syd, Anthony, and Kim took the upstairs. There was a pontoon boat, speed boat, and a dune buggy (or dirt car as I like to call it). We fished, we boated, we watched a storm roll in from our favorite seat on the swing outside. It was a truly relaxing getaway. It was only 1.5 hrs from Orlando, but it felt like a world away. The really great part, was that it was totally free - other than grocerys and fishing tackle. Ben traded a weekend stay for a day of work. What a great trade. How sweet of him to share. I'm following my killer weekend with my crappy week. It's my thyroid cancer re-test week this week and it really sucks. That's 2 weeks of Low Iodine diet (almost impossible to do), a series of injections (one Monday, one Tuesday), a radioactive iodine pill that I took this morning. A chest Xray, thyroid ultrasound tomorrow - and an entire day of liquid diet. Then Friday I get my body scan in the am, followed by more bloodwork (I had to get some last week as well). Then I'm free to do whatever I want. I'm thinking a Venti Caramel Macciato from Starbucks and .....anything after that would be fine. I can have coffee this week - just no milk. So that's the scoop. I will hopefully have Kim post some pics for me soon. I've got some great ones from the weekend. We really had the best time. I felt Eurphoric from Friday - Sunday! Have a good one! Sunday, 3/30/08 Another Excellent Weekend. Tony and I went to House of Blues on Friday night to see The Bodeans. Those guys are getting old, but they still rock the house. It was fun. I'll be trying out the new Cranberry Slush recipe on the drink page next weekend. Hopefully I'll have good reviews to post. Let me know if you beat me to it. Hope you're all excellent Sunday, 3/9/08 YEAH Daylight Savings! My mom is here visiting and we are having a great time. Last night we had a wonderful dinner at PF Changs, with Tony and his mom. Everyone got along GREAT! Today Tony and I are driving her to Sun City for her visit with friends. If you like Cotton Candy and you've never had Cotton Candy Icecream, then you're really missing out. Tony and I had Cotton Candy Icecream at Marble Slab on Friday night, yowsa ----it is pure heaven! Search it out. It is so worth it. Sunday, 3/1/08 Happy March! I'm starting out my March with hassle free doors. Yes - Tony fixed every door in my house. I no longer have to pull, slam, or throw my knee into a door to go in or out. It's so smooth and great. My man is the best. Thanks Baby! My mom is coming for a visit this week, and I'm so looking forward to seeing her. I hope you're all having a good one. There's also a sweet butta' cornbread recipe on the recipe page, if you want to check it out. Tuesday, 2/19/08 Here's a link to Ground Breakers, if you'd like more info on what I'm working on. I won't have an episode on the air for a while, but I'll definitely let you know when we finish one. Monday, 2/18/08 Happy Birthday NICOLE!!! I hope it's a great one. Love is a beautiful thing, that is all consuming. So that's why I've been slacking on the updates. Plus I'm producing 6 episodes of Ground Breakers, which is a show on HGTV. It's normally shot in Atlanta, but they needed to get a winter location. So it's a pretty cool little show which I had never seen before. If you get a chance to check it out, it's on Saturday mornings (at least in my area). I'll keep you posted, but so far it's been really good. I'm hoping to pick up some landscaping ideas as well. Hope you all had a nice Valentines Day! Wednesday, 1/30/08 This year is well on it's way and I think it's off to a great start. Things with Tony are better than great. I've never been happier in a relationship. Love is a wonderful thing I'm producing on a show that's coming to Orlando for 6 episodes. If you'd like to check it out it's HGTV - Groundbreakers. It's a big budget ($10,000+) landscape show. The show is based out of Atlanta, but apparently they are having quite the drought up there. So they're heading to Orlando for the Winter. They've moved my yearly pottery pit fire to March this year, so I've got some extra time to prepare. It's usually in January, but apparently everyone was feeling the holiday time crunch. I'm also back to yoga after a holiday break. My yoga words of wisdom to share are : Ground yourself every day. Picture a shaft of light from yourself into the earth grounding you. Make sure you make it plenty big in your mind. At least coffee can size - unless you'd like it bigger. It's good to ground every day. Sunday, 1/20/08 Renningers was awesome, and I picked up some cool new stuff. A new ring, small table for pottery studio, bar stool, picture, a few pillow cases,a metal star (for Tony), new towel hooks for the bathroom, and I think that's it. Today we're waiting for the Packer Game and getting some laundry done. There's BBQ pork in the Packer crock pot right now. Hope you're all having a great weekend. Thursday, 1/17/08 Happy Birthday a little early to my mom 1/23! t's the Renningers extravaganza tomorrow and Cheryl and I are ready to shop! I'll hopefully pick up some cool stuff tomorrow. Yeah - Friday off of work, gotta love it. Things with Tony are better than great. I really couldn't be happier. I'm going to post some pics of us soon. They are up my myspace already. Sunday, 1/6/08 Happy NEW YEARS! May '08 be a year of manifesting all of the good stuff in life that we would like. If the first week is any indication - then I'm going to have a spectacular year. My visit to Wisconsin was really a great time. We did have one trauma when out bowling outing turned into a trip to the ER for Maggie and my sister. Her thumb is on the mend - 10 stitches on a very tiny toddler thum. Yes a 7lb bowling ball bounced on your thumb - looks like it hurts a lot. We had fun the rest of the trip though. We played a lot of cards and games. I also got to hang out with with Jen, Bec, Nicole, Kristin, Caryn, and Ivelisse. I was there for 10 days - but it still went by to fast. I hope you all have a great week. I've got Juno to review soon on the movie page - but no time today. It's good to be home - the dogs even behaved! Happy New Year! Mary Sunday, 12/2/07 December already- how time does fly... Donna bought me an air popcorn popper (at the thrift store for 3.99) and I air roasted my first batch of coffee beans today. It was way easy. The stove method is quicker but the air popper is much less work and has less chance of burning. I think we'll be brewing it tonight at Ben and Donna's, so I'll let you know how the taste compares. I think it will be equally delicious. All research backs up that theory. If you have an air popper that you're not using much, I would be happy to send you a small batch of beans to try it out. It didn't damage the popper at all - although I'm not guaranteeing that your next batch of popcorn won't taste a little like coffee. Doesn't everyone microwave their popcorn now anyway? AB - my hero, finished the plumbing work in 2 days. Friday night I came home to a completely functional and re-piped bathroom. YEAH! On the down side , my front yard grass took quite the beating. Yowsa that back hoe can really rip up some grass, not to mention all of the digging. It's probably 60% still ok, but hopefully it will grow back pretty quickly. Tony and I checked out Beowulf on Friday night and I've posted a new review on moviebuzz. Yes that's movie #3 for us, for anyone keeping track. Sunday, 11/25/07 Happy Birthday 11/23 to Kim !! Happy Birthday Chic - so sorry I didn't make it to JX this weekend to help you celebrate Turkey Day was excellent and Black Friday was crazy but fun. It left me tired and wanting more shopping. I left my house at 5:30am to head back to Jackie's, and I had a Bloody Mary in my hand by 11am. I'm on the back porch this am with a cup of coffee, and my yard is pretty dug up. AB came over to start the repipe of the back bathroom. It's not pretty. They're coming back some time this week (hopefully). The pipe is uncovered in the back yard all the way around the side to the front. So far the dogs have left it alone. It's a little freaky and kind of interesting. AB (Jackie's plumber brother-in law), Jackie, Billy (ABs wife) and I dug all morning yesterday. Then AB cut concrete on my back porch back by the studio, so that he can lay new pipe. It's going to be expensive, messy, and a bit inconvenient, but on the up side - the plumbing problems will be fixed. I Hope you all had a good 4 day weekend. I'm going to try to motivate to hang Christmas lights - or maybe not - it's up in the air right now. I did see The Mist and I've reviewed it on moviebuzz. TurkeyDay, 11/22/07 Happy Thanksgiving - may your day be filled with family, friends, football and awesome food! I'm heading over to Jackie's soon. I've got flatbread rising in the kitchen. I've already roasted the coffee beans and made the sheetcake, so it's just the flatbread and biscuits to go. I'm not sure how one person does the complete meal. That's got to be tough! Kudos to all of you cooking today - whether it's the bird or just the jello : ) (one of my favorite parts). I checked out August Rush last night at the theater - I'll post the review on moviebuzz as soon as I finish typing here. It's finally time to release all of the holiday blockbusters - and I'm so looking forward to some good movies coming out. Fingers Crossed! Gobble Gobble - don't forget to pace yourself! Tuesday, 11/20/07 Thanks Kim for posting my Sedona pics and a few pottery show pics on photobuzz. They're up if you want to check them out. Sunday, 11/18/07 It's Renneger's Extravaganza weekend and Cheryl and I hit the hill until our calves screamed - Friday and Saturday. It's like a giant flea market with a lot of vendors that travel down for the winter. A lot of our favorite vendors didn't make it. There were 3 or 4 that I wanted to repeat buy from - but I guess they didn't make it this year. Maybe inJan or Feb. It's 3 weekends a year that they do the Extravaganza - the rest of the year I never make it there. This year I picked up some jewelry and a business card holder - I definitely didn't buy as much as usual. It was fun though - the funnel cake kicked butt and the beer tasted yummy. Monday, 11/12/07 Sedona was absolutely awesome. I would highly recommend a vacation there. Jenni, Becky and I went on some amazingly beautiful hikes through the red rock, and checked out some of the healing vortex 's. We also hit the spa, where I had a Red Clay wrap and massage, and we hit the B&B hot tub, pool, shopped, and played a zillion games of triple solitare. It was like we were back in college all over again. I feel absolutely refreshed. I'll try to get you some pics soon. Becky announced that she and Rich are 4 months pregnant. How very cool! Saturday, 11/3/07 Belated Happy Halloween Birthday to Jenni Allis! The Mount Dora show was last weekend and I sold 27 pieces of pottery. That is definitely my personal best. I was thrilled with sales, plus Debbie and I had a lot of fun. Deb sold her photographs, and they were awesome. Thanks to everyone who made it out to Mount Dora. I really appreciate the support! Tuesday, 10/16/07 .....knowing that in all darkness light is held captive....... Monday, 10/15/07 It's just another Manic Monday - I just heard that song on the radio. It's true - I wish it were Sunday, because that's my fun day......... Thanks Gillian for these insightful words that I read today on your website, and decided to share: .....The ultimate choice is to give without thought of loss. To jump without fear into the abyss with the knowing that in all darkness light is held captive.....There is no growth in a safe space..... Sunday, 10/14/07 Happy Birthday Ben! I checked out the Jane Austen Book Club yesterday - that's a movie in case you didn't know. I'll post a review in the movie section. Tuesday, 10/9/07 Where have I been the last month? Happy Birthday to Becky on 10/7! I just returned from a "Gathering of She" in the mountains of Tennessee. It was a really relaxing and centering trip. My friend Veronica and I took our time driving up. The leaves were just starting to change colors, but it was still really beautiful up there. Living here in FL, I sometimes forget what it feels like when the seasons change. It's still hot down here. I had a short but really nice visit with my mom and Grace the week before that, so I've really been keeping busy. We checked out 3:10 to Yuma, and I've reviewed it on the movie page. I hope you're all having a good start to your autumn Thursday, 9/13/07 Happy Birthday to my brother Greg! Hope you had a good one! Sunday, 9/8/07 If you're looking for something funny, but completely genuine to watch - please don't miss Lords of the Gourd. It's a documentary that they are airing on PBS (at least in my market) about people who are totally obsessed with growing giant pumpkins. They're all trying to grow a prize winning giant pumpkin. And I'm talking 1000+ lbs. It's pretty entertaining and creatively edited together. The soundtrack will crack you up. These are completely real people. It's a must watch - Lords of the Gourd (repeat it aloud). Saturday, 9/7/07 Happy Birthday to my nephew JD! I hope you enjoy being 7, my little jelly donut! Thursday, 9/6/07 Happy Birthday Missy! I hope you have a great one that gives you a little time to yourself for relaxing. Also - as backup to my review. My sister agreed that Superbad was, "Hilarious". She only went because Tom wanted to see it and she claims that she laughed more than he did! It's officially funny now that I have Missy and Tom's thumbs up. Saturday, 9/1/07 It's the first of September and the beginning of a 3 day weekend. Much needed! If you're up for a little sophmoric humor - please go see Superbad. I'll add my review to the movie page - but I cracked up. Saturday, 8/25/07 It's a hot Saturday and I'm heading out to meet Cheryl at the Mall and then we are heading to the movies. " If I am not for myself, who will be? Monday, 8/20/07 So I've ordered some organic green coffee beans to roast at home. I thought I'd see if thereally are tastier when you roast them fresh. There's a cool website I found called Brew Organic. I've put a link to it on the coffee page. I'll let you know how it goes. Since I'm a total Nubee - I went for the 10lb (divided by half pounds) sampler pack. The website says I can use my stovetop Whirley Pop to roast them. I hope it's worth the time and effort. Happy Birthday to my friend Gillian on 8/19! I also checked out The Simpsons Movie. I'll post a review on the movie page. I'll hopefully have a new look for The Buzz coming soon. Kim is helping me work on it. Wednesday, 8/15/07 I looked for the meteor shower the other night, but I think I am to close to the city to see the sky well. Today I'm home with The Leak Doctor. He's sending a camera down my plumbing pipes to see where the clog is. They think it may be tree roots in the front yard. The plumber came out yesterday and snaked everything - but it didn't seem to be enough. This can't be good! Congratulations to my Godson TJ who was just awarded a full ride scholarship to UWMadison, for football. Go Badgers! Sunday, 8/12/07 The Perseid Meteor Shower should be at it's peak tonight. I hope it's a good night to watch it. If you get a chance to sit outside, away from the city lights - let me know if you see anything good. It's one of those nights when a good telescope would come in handy. I hope everyone is having a good weekend. 8/7/07 Visit a participating Dairy Queen location on Thursday, August 9th, and you can help make miracles happen for Children's Miracle Network hospitals. Buy a Blizzard (or 20) and the proceeds from your purchase will be donated to your local Children's Miracle Network To lean more and to find your participating locations, please visit Please pass it on! 8/6/07 I'm home from my Wisconsin trip and had a really great time visiting with family and friends. I'll post some pics soon. "You cannot worry and believe at the same time" Hope you're all having a good August. 7/22/07 I'm back in business. Kim and Lenny came down this weekend and Kim has installed my web design program and set up my specs for me. Denali and Astro (my new pup) are getting along great. I also had a new fence installed in the backyard. I hope you're all having a great summer. It's got hot hot here and I'm in the pool as much as possible.
6/30/07 The last day of June and now the year is officially half over - 6/1/07 “Even old places are new, if you haven’t been there in a while.” - Lee Adkison (thanks Jeremy D for reminding me to post it) That Lee runs so deep! Spiderman 3 - I vote you wait til it's on HBO and then try to stay awake. It's a little weak. The family came for a visit over the holiday weekend - and we all had a great time. We went to Sea World together, and they also went to Magic Kingdom while I worked. We spent a lot of time out by the pool as well as squeezing in a Euchre game nightly. They all left yesterday and it was sad to see them go. TJ (my Godson) is at STATE for track in Wisconsin this weekend. I'll let you know how he does. That boy is quick!!! He was also Prom King this year - and his date took queen. Way to go T - we are all so proud of you! Here comes Hurricane season! We have are 1st storm brewing - let's all think good thoughts! 5/15/07 "Perfection, leaves so little room for improvement. So little space for acceptance - or joy. On the path we have chosen, progress is the simple pleasure to be savored. Daily. ....we will have perfect moments.... but life doesn't have to be perfect to be pleasing..."Simple Abundance - Sarah Ban Breathnach May you all have perfect moments on your road of progress. I've had many and am thankful for them all. Oh yes - I'm officially CANCER FREE. My doctor doesn't want to see me for a whole year! Thank you all for the love and support that helped me heal. 4/29/07 Phoenix was really a lot of fun. It's always so great to spend time with family. We also checked out the bodies exhibit when we were there. While I wasn't quite as grossed out as I thought I would be, it was still a bit of a freak show. I'm so not into "medical". I hope to post some pics of the trip soon. I'm also thinking of getting another puppy. I know it's a pain in the butt - but they are hard to resist. I'll keep you all posted on that one. 4/13/07 Happy Birthday Tommy Driefuerst and TJ Williams! OK - where
have I been and where has the time gone? I've been a litle busy at work,
but it's finally slowing down a bit. I'm heading to Phoenix this week
to visit family. I could use a few days off. I've hardly been throwing
any pottery at all, and I'm thinking it's time to get back on the kick.
Our next show isn't until October, but I'd like to get a jump on things.
I've also added a new link to the coffee page for Coffee Fools. Check it out if you like coffee. Have a great weekend! 3/23/07 Today when I pulled out of the driveway to go to work, there were 7 white Egret birds in my front yard (eating bugs or something in the lawn). I've lived here for amost 7 years, and never once have I seen an Egret in my yard. Today there were 7 so I think it's a very good sign. Definitely a good sign. That sounds a little "Rain Man" - but you get the point! 3/17/07 HAPPY50TH BIRTHDAY TO WEI (on 3/15) - I hope you had a good one. If you are
looking for a good movie and don't mind violence I would highly recommend
300. Wowsa - what an awesome awesome movie. I'm adding it to the movie
review page if you're interested. I bought a new CD yesterday for my road trip down to Cocoa Beach - it's Rocco Deluca and The Burden with their album I Trust You To Kill Me. It sounds pretty good. I would recommend it if you're looking for something new. I'm also on Myspace if anyone wants to look for me their and be added to my "friends" list. I'd love to check out your pages. Yes I'm a little old for myspace - but it's actually pretty fun. You'd be surprised with who is on there. It's a lazy Sunday and I love it! I hope that you're all having a good one. 3/8/07 Ridonuclous! It's in the urban dictionary - and I'm adding it to my vocabulary. So get ready - because I'm going to use it. Here's the definition, for all you non believers: Ridonculous
- When ridiculos knows no bounds Plus it's really fun to say it out loud. Go ahead and try to call someone that without smiling. It's ridonculous! 3/4/07 March already! Happy Birthday Kristin! Here are some words of wisdom from my spiritual cinema series - that my mom got me for Christmas. Write
down what you want. Explain what you’d like your life to be. So everyone should believe that the good things that you want are going to come. The power of intention - the power of positive thought. 2/28/07 Well - I have to say all of the movies were really good. The best picture of 2006 was The Departed. If I had to pick a best picture out of them, I think I would vote for Babel. It was definitely the most moving as well as cinematically pretty. The Departed was really great (and when did Leo get so hot?),Little Miss Sunshine was hilarious, Letters from Iwo Jima was really tough to watch with all of the killing. The Queen was good and Helen Mirin was really spectacular. It was really a fun day that went by really fast. Tonight I went to see Pan's Labyrinth (hard to believe I'm not burned out isn't it?)and wow - freaky. Every childhood fear and sad scarey story all tied into one, and yet I couldn't tear myself away. If someone tells you it's not a horror film and it's not scarey, well I would take that with a grain of salt. It's not Friday the 13th scarey, but it will leave your skin crawling. I was actually disgusted, more than once. A tough one to take but also really really awesome at the same time. 2/24/07 It's Academy Award Movie Day. I'm heading to the movies with Debbie to watch all 5 Best Picture Nominees. It's crazy, I know, but it's going to be pretty cool. I have a blanket and a pillow to sit on. It's all the popcorn and soda you can take - free refills all day. I'll let you know who I pick as my Best Picture! 2/18/07 Happy Birthday Nicole! Cheryl and I spent Friday/Saturday at Rennigers antique extravaganza. Wow - we got some great stuff. I got an awsome new tote bag made of vintage fabric, a cool ring, a really cool piece of what I guess you would call Indian Folk Art, and a few other treasures. My calves are sore from walking up and down the hill about 20 times, but it was worth it. Here's a quote I thought I'd share. I hopy you're all having a good weekend. Let's all think positive!
2/14/07 Happy Valentines Day! Much love to you all!!! I've been slacking a bit movie wise. I did see The Good Shepherd a few weeks back. I give it a thumbs up. I also watched Talladega Nights last weekend, and totally cracked up. Shake and Bake - 2 thumbs up! 1/26/07 First of all - Happy Birthday to my mom! It's been crazy here lately. I just retunrned from " Hellweek" and I have to say it was pretty cool. Much better than expected. I took lots of pics, so I'll be getting them up soon. Today I spent the day with Missy (my sister), and we shopped like crazy. She had to visit a client in Miami on Thursday and then drove up for a night. We packed as much fun and shopping into 24hrs, as was possilbe. Tomorrow I have to get up and out early to dig a hole. It's the annual pottery pitfire. I have 5 pieces that I'm putting in this year. One of them is my biggest one to date. I'll let you know how it goes. Have to get some zzzzzzs 1/13/07 So here we are almost 2 weeks into the New Year, and it's speeding by fast as ever. I'm heading to San Diego next week for work. It should be a fun but brutal shoot. You can check out what they did last year (I didn't go last year) at www.socomhellweek.comwww.socomhellweek.com You have to enter your birthdate to get into the sight. Don't register to go - just take a look at last years episode. 1/1/07 Happy New Year! I hope that everyone has a fabuous 2007!! It's time again to figure out, what I would like to start a-new.
12/30/06 "It is only a thought - and a thought - can be changed" Happy Birthday Jennifer Strouf Kalscheur! I hope you have a wonderfully fabulous day! 12/28/06 I hope that everyone had a great Christmas. I'm home from Wisconsin, and it was a lot of fun as usual. JD, Daniel, and Maggie were up before 6am on Christmas morning, and they were pretty excited. I'll post some pics soon. I hope that everyone has a great New Years. Gen is on her way tonight from Aruba. She's visiting with her boyfriend until the 3rd. Take Care. Love, Mary 12/21/06 Merry Merry Christmas to everyone! I'm heading to Wisconsin to enjoy Christmas in the cold. I hope that you all have a really great holiday! Love, Mary 12/3/06 Just got home from Atlanta. Wow - what a great city. That place is really fun. My friend Rich got married there this weekend, so Cheryl made the 6 hr drive with me to Atlanta. Unfortunately I didn't take any pics. Those going out purses are to small to hold my camera. I also saw Casino Royal last week. I'm adding it to my review page. 11/26/06 I so wish they could all be long weekends. I've got a wicked cold, so I'm taking it easy this weekend. I 'm sitting out on the back patio pulling weeds in my way overgrown garden. It's hot enough to sweat but not hot enough to heat the pool up, so that's a bit of a bummer. I know - at least it's not 30 degrees and snowing!! I saw Stranger
Than Fiction yesterday, and it was really good. A lot of the funny stuff
was in the previews but there's a lot of story too. 11/23/06 Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that everyone has a lot to be thankful for. I'm heading to Jackie's for our usual Turkey Day sleepover with shopping at the crack of dawn. 11/12/06 I just checked
my lottery ticket and I've got 4 out of 6 numbers for a winning of $83.50.
It's not the millions, but it is still a good way to start the day. Yippee!!!
11/8/06 Last weekend was the Mt.Dora craft show. Donna and I did really well. I sold 25 pieces, which was unbelievably awesome. The show was really huge. They estimated 200,000 people over the 2 day weekend. We signed up for next year while we were there. 10/15/06 I spent this weekend at at pottery workshop by Angelica Pozo. If you'd like to check out her work it's www.angelicapozo.com 10/6/06 Yowsa it's October already - HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOC!! Jen and I had a great and relaxing time in Idaho, playing triple solitare, soaking in the natural hot springs, and hanging out. What a refreshingly healing weekend. Fall in Idaho is truly beautiful. The trees looked amazing. Lots of great yellows and silvers. 9/23/06 Damn it's been a harsh couple of months. I've made it through my radioactive treatment which left me pretty weak - and now I'm on the road to recovery. It was good to have my mom here again to take care of me. I'm getting back to my "normal self" day by day. I have one more test on Monday and then I think that's it for a while. I'm still planning on taking my trip to Idaho next weekend to visit with Jen and Bec. Hopefully they'll take it easy on me. I'm also back to work, and it almost totally kicked my ass on Friday. Yowsa that was a tough day. Thank God it ended with a margarita - which makes everything easier to take. I hope you're all enjoying the end of summer - beginning of fall. It's still pretty hot here. Today I'm going to spend in the pool. 9/10/06 HAPPY BIRTHDAY - Missy on the 6, JD on the 8th, Greg on the 13, and Kelly Kelly (a little late) back on the 4th. I hope all of my Virgo friends and family had and have great birthdays this year. Tomorrow I go in for my radioactive treatment. So I'll be in the hospital for a day or 2 and then home for a week, very likely on the computer for much of it. Who knows how I'll feel. Maybe I'll just be watching TV. I've been lent a lot of DVDs. My mom flys back in today to stay with me and help out - 5 feet away from me of course. I'll keep you updated. I had a great trip to Kenosha/Racine Wisconsin. I spent a lot of time with the kids and my family and my friends. The girls canoe trip was fabulous. The shooting stars viewed laying on the dock were spectacular as always. The food was to die for, and the company was fabulous as always. Yes there's still an outhouse and a pop-up camper involved. Jenny has the pop up down to a science and by night 2 I actually slept like a baby (in a good way). We woke up Saturday to rain - so the canoe part didn't happen, but Lynn has a speed boad so we hit the lake when it cleared in the afternoon. We're still calling it our first year of not tipping the canoe - as it technically was. The rest of the trip was awesome too. I went to tennis practice with my nephews, soccer practice for JD - which Tom coaches, we toured the Jelly Belly Factory, went to the Milwaukee Zoo, and went apple picking at Apple Holler - making a homemade yummy pied afterwards. I also watched TJ beat last years state champs in one of Bradford's first football games of the year. He's so grown up! I played a lot of playdough and dinosaurs, and restaurant, and sidewalk chalk, and watched some dino movies. It was a really nice relaxing week. Now I'm back in O-town. I worked last week and I'm back to work again on the 20th or 21st. 8/22/06 HAPPY ANNIVERSARY - to Missy and Tom my sis and her hubby. So here's a little something that I read on my friend Gillian's website - and I thought I would share. Hope you like it: Success comes in the form of 6 billion plus flavors. It is not just vanilla
or chocolate with a few sprinkles here and there. It is not something
that can be defined by a dictionary, a teacher, or a parent. For the very
essence of success is so multidimensional it reaches far beyond our earthly
understanding. 8/14/06 I finally had my follow-up visit with my endocrinologist, and it looks like I'll have my radioactive Iodine treatment from 9/11-??? It's probably 1-2 days in isolation at the hospital, and then 7 days after that at home but not within 5 feet of anyone for any length of time. They said I should plan on being out of work from 9/11 - 9/20, which sounds like an awfully long time to me - of course that's "worst case scenario". My mom is coming down from Wisconsin to take care of me - from 5 feet away of course. This also means that I can keep my Wisconsin girls canoe trip/labor day family visit that I already had scheduled. I'm pretty happy about that! I still feel really good. I even gave Denali, the full 1mile walk around the lake. I'm off to bed - hope everyone is doing well! Please also send healing thoughts to my mom's friend Grace - who just had her knee replaced and has to recover at the nursing home until Friday. We're all sending love Grace!!! 8/5/06 Happy Birthday Miss Maggie Moo! Way to be 2!! Wish I were there celebrating right now. Well I'm recovering well from the thyroid cancer that is no longer with me. My surgery went really great, and my mom came and took really superb care of me. I have been surrounded with such wonderful friends and family providing never ending healing and support. Everyones flowers, meals, care packages, visits, phone calls, cards, emails, and loving thoughts, have been integral in my feeling better each and every day. I saw the surgeon on Thursday and he thought I was healing just great. I head back to my endocrinologist on the 14th to figure out my next step of treatment with is a radioactive iodine pill. They like to make you wait about a month after surgery before taking it. After that - I think I'm done with this bump in the road and moving on. So thank you all of my wonderful friends, family, and loved ones who I am so fortunate to have in my life. I have really seen, how truly blessed that I am. I feel your healing thoughts and prayers and I'm thankful. Much Love, 7/13/06 "Think only upon that which you want! Do not dwell one moment upon that which you do not want!" - Gillian 7/10/06 Congrats to my Godson TJ - who passed his drivers exam today. Way to go T, everyone in Wisconsin keep an eye out. We made some kickass turkey burgers at Ben and Donna's last night - I'll put the recipe on the recipe page if anyone wants it. Kristin made them for us last year at the girls canoe trip weekend - which is coming up again in August. Project Runway starts on Bravo Wednesday - which is always a must see. I talked to Schneidy today and he shot on it this season. It sounds like it will be a good one. Set your DVR! 7/9/06 "Nothing real can be threatened, and nothing unreal really exists" - a course in miracles Pirates of the Caribbean is really good - not quite as good as the first one, but much the same. It's worth the money to watch Johnny Depp on the big screen. Orlando Bloom looks pretty good too. I had an actual good date last night. Will wonders never cease! I hope you all had a good weekend! 7/1/06 How it can possibly be July 1st I'll never know. The year is just flying. I had a great visit with the family. We went to Gatorland to feed hotdogs to the alligators, and we spent a lot of time in the pool. The kids are so funny- they crack me up. We had a lot of fun. My mom enjoyed it so much, that she's flying back tomorrow for the 4th of July. My office is closed Monday and Tuesday, so I've got some free time to spend. That's it for now. I've been making a lot of plates for my upcoming pottery show in October. I know it will be here before I know it. I hope you all have a great 4th of July weekend!! 6/4/06 I have finally reviewed a few current movies if you're interested. It's on the movie page. 6/3/06 As many of you already know, my dog Sergei died this week. It was the most peaceful/sad moment, and it's left me at a terrible loss. I'm trying to take comfort in the fact that he chose his time to go, and he died at home in my arms. I'm also trying to take comfort in the fact that sometimes true pure love never dies, and perhaps one day we will find each other again. Thanks for everyones love and support. Denali and I would not be slowly making it through without you. I'm truly blessed with amazing friends and family. Thanks for everyone's understanding. Sergei will be missed every day, and he is grieved internationally - he was one amazingly sweet and loving faithful friend. I was lucky to have had him for all of the time that I did. Most of it was borrowed time - as no one thought he would even make it through last year. He was a fighter, that hated to leave me. I am having him cremated. Thank you all for your unending love and support - it is truly appreciate 5/27/06 Happy Memorial Day Weekend to everyone. I just threw a bowl, I've got a zucchinni cake cooling, and I'll be heading out to Cheryl's for a boat ride and cookout. Then I'm over to Ben and Donna's for dinner. Nicole and Ivalese were here last weekend, and we had an awesome and relaxing time. I hope you all have a great weekend. 5/10/06 "In the search to find ones self - it is important to not always look in the same place...." Tonight was the annual pottery bird house auction for charity. I was a bit of a slacker and didn't get a piece finished on time. I did however go, and got a really cute birdhouse for my new flower garden. I'm going to think about starting now, for next year. 4/30/06 April is at an end - wow the year is flying already. Becky was here last week and we knocked down the fence around my pool pump and air conditioner and planted bushes around it. Becky planted while I worked one day. It looks really nice. We also built a small retaining wall on one side. We (of course) headed up to Daytona to visit Gary and Ruth at the Sea Club IV, and were joined by Jenni and Mason. The waves were good and the boogie boarding was awesome. Ruth made her kick ass Pico de Gallo, and we sipped Margharitas by the Ocean. You have to love it. We also spotted 2 dolphin playing just off shore - it was great. Jenni and Mason got a condo in Orlando and stayed all weeks to hit the parks. They left for TX yesterday. I had the whole gang over to my house on Saturday and Beck and I cooked up a feast of pulled pork w/ Homeade sauce. It turned out well. Now I'm relaxing by my new garden on an overcast Sunday am. Today it's a little pottery, some shopping for Syd's Bday gift - she turned 3 yesterday. I'm also going to wash the dogs and move all my nic-nacs to have the carpet cleaned tomorrow. Thank God - it could really use it. I hope everyone is having a good weekend. 4/13/06 Finally it has slowed down at work. I'm off to Wisconsin for Easter with the family. I'm just going for the weekend and then Becky comes on Monday night. Sergei is at a new doctor this weekend and will be spending the weekend their. I'm hoping it can help his hip displasia a bit. He's not walking so good. I'll let you know what we find out. Shanett will be staying with Denali. I hope that everyone has a nice Easter! May your days be filled with peace, love and laughter. Love, 3/26/06 Children's Miracle Network is over and it's on to Starz Channel - Looking for Stars promo. It's been a really busy month of work. I got my new pottery wheel on Friday and have officially thrown my first vase with it. It's so squeaky clean. I didn't even know they ever looked like that. It's a Brent Model - C for anyone who's into pottery. Yesterday I spent the day in my studio making pots and enjoying the cool weather. I think this is our last weekend for it. Happy Birthday to Wei, on March 15th. I'm a little late on that one, but better late than never. I hope everyone is having a good March. 3/10/06 The house looks awesome. I'm loving everything that I had done. It's starting to get hot here. I'm typing this at my patio table out by the pool and I'm thinking of jumping in. The dogs are rolling around in the grass, and Denali is now chasing lizards. I've got some really yummy fresh squeezed OJ compliments of my friend Roni's tree. MMMM it's good. I've got a few recipes to add to the recipe page so stop by there when you're done here. Jen Strouf was here with her hubby and boys. They rented a house near Disney for the week. It was great spending time with them and we even squeezed in a Euchre game when Scott's brother came (Jen and I won for the record). I also had a fun visit last weekend from my friend Kim in Jacksonville. I've been getting lots of great company - before that it was Robert from NC and prior to that was my mom and Grace. Thank you all for suffering through my remodeling phase - which is complete for now but it's almost time to start on the kitchen cupboards and cabinets. The other night at midnight I had the urge to make a plate - so I walked into my studio and did just that. It was awesome. I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. I jus talked to my mom and she saw her first robin of spring (in Wisconsin) - so it looks like the weather is changing everywhere. Oh yes -
for anyone wondering about my friends Becky and Rich - they are having
an amazing time in New Zealand on their biking pilgrimage. You can see
pics at Rich's friends website www.actionalchemy.org
Don't be confused by the South America pics, as they were there a few
weeks ago. Here's an excerpt from their travels: "Well we have been
riding through some amazing country side, shorn a sheep, ate lamb more
than once, took a cruise through the Milford Sound...WOW, I 2/3/06 I went to see Walk the Line tonight. I have to say, that if you haven't seen it yet, then you're missing out. It's absolutely fabulous. I was bummed when it ended. It's one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. My mom's visit was wonderful. We had a great time, shopping and relaxing. We had a lot of good meals, caught a matinee, and redecorated my house a bit. The new paint colors are almost on the walls. It's just a bathroom and a half to go. The painter wasn't here the last few days and it's killing me to have to wait for it to be finished. Things are a bit upside down, with all of the moving stuff from room to room - but I'm slowly trudging through the clutter. It's even half clean tonight. Of course that's mostly because Joan and Lee were coming by to pick me up for Walk the Line - specifically to see the home improvements - so I hated for it to be too messy. Wow that was a long sentence. I'm off to
veg out with some HBO. The Upside of Anger is playing. Also a good flick! 1/26/06 Happy Birthday Mom on January 23rd!! She's coming to visit on this Saturday and I'm really looking forward to it. I've seen a lot of movies, Brokeback Mountain, Narnia, Shop Girl, Rumor Has it, and I'm sure there are a few more I'm forgetting. I'll get reviews out soon. I've also taken some new pics of the 06 Pottery Pit Fire last weekend. I got sunburned it was so hot. I'm currently working on having the house interior painted. It's tough trying to figure out what color you'd like to live with for the next 5+ years. I guess I could paint again if I don't like it. But I know that won't happen. I hope all is well and 2006 is treating you well. Love you all Mary 12/31/05 Happy Birthday to Jennifer Kalscheur (Strouf) - I hope it was a good one. Even though I called you fairly late after a few pitchers of Sangria! Happy New Year to everyone. I hope your evenings are safe and fun. I'm heading to see Chronicles of Narnia with Joan and Lee and then over to Jackies for a bonfire and maybe some games. I won't be doing anything if I don't get into the shower some time today. Wisconsin was great - we had a lot of fun. It was great to see JD, Daniel, and Maggie on Christmas morning. Santa was very good to them. I'll try to get some pics up if we took any! I don't think we took a lot. Love and Peace - Mary 12/07/05 I'm taking the day off of work today, to get some stuff done. Donna and I will be back at the Lakeridge Winery this weekend, with our booth set up. Today I'll be hitting the tile store, looking for a vanity, and throwing some pottery. The house is coming along well, but I still have a lot of stuff to pick out. I hope everyone is having a good week. I have my tics for WI - so I'll be there for Christmas! 11/20/05 Cloth & Clay sold our work at the Lake Ridge Winery 2 weekends ago and we'll be back there the 2nd weekend in December. The location was great, with the breeze blowing across the bluff of grape vines. Sales were good too! Happy Birthday to my friend Kim - who was also kind enough to play my shopping extra in the latest training video filmed for Suntrust Bank in Jacksonville. Her debut performance was quite believable. After Jacksonville we headed to Sarasota where we got to enjoy the beach at night. If you have to work, that's the way to do it! Thanksgiving is Thursday and I'll be bringing my new Tassimo 1cup coffee maker. It was recommended to me by Nicole and then it was featured on Martha Stewart's Apprentice. It's a dream come true! I love love love it. It not only does coffee and tea but also has milk pods for cappucino and Latte as well as hot cocoa. It's pretty cool. I suggest you check it out. I'm off to the pottery studio to work on some pieces for the next event. Happy Thanksgiving!!! 11/6/05 "Let the energy of stress don a new costume such as fun or laughter or peace....Let your heart beat a little faster with joy instead of stress and the world will be a better place for it." - Gillian McBeth Louthan 10/27/05 I'm working nights for the next three nights. I'll be out at Universal for Halloween Horror nights, working on Marketing Promos and stock footage. It's going to be brutal working 5pm-3am every night. I'll probably make it home and into bed by 4:30am. My body is going to be totally confused. I did sleep in this morning to try to help. My two lazy dogs didn't mind a bit! 10/24/05 Hurricane Wilma slams on by and it's blowing and raining pretty hard. The dogs and I stayed in bed all morning, fielding work calls, sleeping and checking with the weather channel. I'll probably be heading into work some time today - if the rain lets up. It's a great day to be wrapped up in a warm blanket! I hit an awesome tile sale on Saturday and all of it was delivered yesterday. My back is a little sore from moving the tile from the carport to the storage area, but I had to make room to pull my car in out of the storm. That's some motivation. I'm quite excited about all of the tile choices, now I just need to figure out who's putting it in - and when. At least it's here and I got a killer deal on it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my nephew Danie! He turned 3 yesterday. The party was yesterday at my mom's house in WI. Hopefully I'll have some pics up soon. 10/16/05 The unbearable heat is finally breaking here. My morning swim was a bit chilly today. I don't think there are very many swimming weekends left this year. I spent the day at the pottery studio getting back into my throwing groove, since it's been closed for cleaning. It will be nice when I finally have my studio done here at home. I've had zero progress on that, but I have picked out a lot of stuff. If you haven't been watching ROME on HBO, I suggest you start from episode 1 and get on it. It's a pretty kick ass series. I would highly recommend it. I filled my DVR with 6 episodes and blew threw all 6 yesterday, after cleaning my closet out. It felt good to clear some clutter. Thank God the Amvets will pick up at the door! "Nothing real can be threatened and nothing unreal really exists" I hope everyone is having a good weekend! 10/13/05 Donna and I have applied to our first art fair with Cloth&Clay. I'm clay and she's cloth, in case there was any question. We set up a mock booth and took some pics. Here's hoping we get in. There's quite the application process, who knew? When I figure out how, I'll be adding some pics to this site. Off to bed 10/11/05 OK I think I've got my email up and running. Just click on buzzmary on the left. 10/9/05 Here's the new site. Thank you to Kim for helping me get it up and running. I'm sure it will be changing a bit in the first few weeks, while I'm finding my way. I hope that you'll all check in frequently. Most of the links on the left aren't functional yet - so just be patient. Plus my email isn't hooked up yet. - Love Mary
